Google released the 2016 series mobile OS Android v7.0 Nougat to 2015-based Nexus 6P, 5X series in August and earlier this month to 2014-based Motorola Nexus 6 and HTC Nexus 9.

With the release of new OS to all eligible Nexus series devices, now, it is the turn of the Google's partner-OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) such as Motorola (owned by Lenovo), Samsung, HTC, Sony and others to start rolling out the update to their flagship smartphones.

To provide better perspective, we have listed all the eligible devices confirmed to get the new Android Nougat.

As of now, the Nexus 6 is the only Motorola device to get a taste of the Nougat, but the company is readying to roll-out the firmware to the Moto Z series and if all things go as planned, it may start the roll-out process by the end of October and for Moto G4 series in November.

HTC:

Though HTC was first to announce the list of devices eligible for Android Nougat, it is expected to commence the deployment of the update in November starting with HTC 10 series in November and later to HTC One A9 and HTC One M9.

OnePlus:

In the recently concluded Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session, OnePlus confirmed to have got their hands on Google's Android Nougat source code and commenced working on it to make the OS optimized to the OnePlus 3.

Based on previous release pattern, the company might release the update by the end of November or early December.

Sony:

Sony was the second major Google OEM partner to announce the list of Nougat-eligible devices. Last time, Sony missed several deadlines lasting almost six months, before finally releasing the Marshmallow update to its flagship phones in March 2016.

This year, Sony is not likely repeat the blunder, as the company has already initiated beta testing on Sony Xperia X Performance and is expected to roll-out public version before the end of November.

Other devices which are confirmed to get the new update include –Sony Xperia Z3+, Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, Sony Xperia Z5, Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, Sony Xperia X, Sony Xperia XA and Sony Xperia XA Ultra.

Samsung:

Samsung has not officially revealed which of its devices will get the Android Nougat update, but its network carrier partner T-Mobile has spilled the beans.

As per the American network carrier, the 2016 series flagships—Galaxy S7, S7 edge, Galaxy Note7 and the 2015 series— Note 5, Galaxy S6 and the S6 edge are expected receive the update.

Since, the Galaxy Note7 sale is permanently banned, Samsung is expected to release update first to the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge before the end of November.
