Rumour has it that Motorola/Lenovo has officially released the Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS update to the users of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus smartphones in India.
As per new reports, Android Nougat has started seeding to the Moto G4 Plus smartphones and these reports also indicate that the new firmware bears build number NPJ25-93.11. Therefore, if you are a Motorola Moto G4 Plus owner, you can check for the new firmware manually.
The latest update about Android Nougat beginning rollout for Moto G4 Plus is speculative in nature. Therefore, you are advised to personally check your smartphones for the new update and let us know if the rollout has indeed begun. You can also share screenshots of the new update after installation.
If the Android Nougat OS update rollout has indeed begun, then the firmware should be available over the next few days for your smartphones as automatic OTA notifications take significant time to completely rollout to all the intended handsets.
In case you desire to manually check for Android Nougat, then navigate to Settings > About Phone > System Updates. We also checked out our Moto G4 Plus smartphone but Android Nougat had seemingly not hit our smartphone yet. Therefore keep your eyes and ears open.
As far as Android Nougat-specific enhancements are concerned, the firmware introduces aspects such as:
- Multi-Window view
- Google Daydream VR platform
- Quick Switch between multiple applications
- Enhanced Google Doze
- Direct reply to received notifications
- New custom Data Saver
- Split-Screen mode
- Picture-in-Picture mode
- Unicode 9 emojis
