After releasing Android Marshmallow to Xperia Z5 series in Turkey, Sony has deployed the new OS update to the devices in the home market of Japan.
The new Android Marshmallow (build number: 32.1.F.0.43) is being released to Japanese network carrier NTT Docomo based-Xperia Z (SO-01H), Z Premium (SO-03H) and Z Compact (SO-02H) models, Xperia Blog reports.

Go to Settings >> About Phone >> System updates
Since the update roll-out process is being carried out in stages, it will take some time reach all corners of the country.
When will the Marshmallow update come to Xperia Z5 series in India?
The Marshmallow update was first released to Xperia Z5 series in the Middle East region in early February and almost month later, it is now being made available East Asia. Going by the release pattern, Sony may take a few weeks (probably around late March or in early April) to deploy Marshmallow in India.
Other devices that are confirmed to get the firmware include -- Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia C4.

For the uninitiated, Android Marshmallow brings the Doze power saving feature, which has been incorporated to extend battery life by at least 30 percent depending on the device's internal hardware.
