HTC UK Tuesday announced on its Twitter page that it would roll out Android Lollipop update for two of its smartphones - Desire Eye and Desire 816. It didn't specify which version of Lollipop it would release but it is likely (understood) to be Android 5.0.2 Lollipop version as it has already been seeded to some devices in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The report came just a few days after it was reported that Google's Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update had been made available to HTC Desire EYE and Butterfly S in its home country, Taiwan, and to HTC One E8 in Hong Kong.

HTC ROM developer LlabTooFeR has earlier confirmed on its Twitter page that Android 5.0.2. ROM version for HTC Desire EYE and Butterfly S bears 2.19.709.1 build version and weighs 1008.9MB and the ROM version for HTC One E8 is 5.16.709.3 and weighs 708.86MB. It went on to say that the firmware would come without get Sense 7.0 update, which only HTC One M9 would get at the moment but revealed that the Sense 7.0 would come to these lower-end devices when Android 5.1 Lollipop is made available to them.
How to Install Android Lollipop on HTC Desire 816 and Desire Eye devices:
Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update notification should be seen when the new software update is available to your region. Users of the devices can download the file and select "Install" option. Your device will automatically restart once the installation is done and the firmware will start running.
Users of the devices can also check the availability of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop manually by going to – 'Settings' >> 'About phone' >> 'System update' >> 'Check For Update.
