For the last several months, internet has been abuzz with rumours that Google might officially launch the new Android 7.0 Nougat in the first week of August, but this didn't materialise. Now, it has come to light that the new mobile OS is indeed coming by the end of this month.
Canada-based network carrier Telus (via official community forum) confirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat will be released on Aug. 22. It further added that the Huawei Nexus 6P and LG Nexus 5X will be first to receive the new update.
Google is still yet to make any official comments on Telus' disclosure, but we believe the release details are likely to turn true, as it has been exactly a month since the search engine giant rolled out the Developer Preview 5, the last milestone of the preview series to the registered users.
Usually the public version of the mobile OS is released in three to four weeks and the time looks ripe for the new mobile OS to make its official debut.
