Samsung has rolled out Android 7.0 Nougat beta programme for its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge devices in select countries to experiment Google's latest operating system before its public roll out. It has now found out the Samsung Gear VR is not accessible on the devices after the OS beta update.
Downloading Android 7.0 Nougat beta on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge has knocks off Gear VR, according to a report by Phandroid. It added that the Samsung Gear VR users couldn't "use the headset with their new device" as the Oculus Store app is yet to update support for Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge users, who have already enrolled in Android 7.0 Nougat beta programme, have no option but to wait for the next update comes to access the the Gear VR.
Android 7.0 Nougat beta comes with some features in Grace UX that was seen in the now discontinued Galaxy Note 7. Features like always-on display, more vibrant background, transparent folders, new settings and new notification bar.
Samsung has also rolled out the second beta build via OTA (over-the-air) for those who have enrolled in Galaxy Beta Programme in Europe. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge users who have installed the first beta build will automatically receive the second beta build weighing 92MB.
