Google is set to release its upcoming operating system, called Android N, but some carriers are yet to seed last year's firmware, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its devices. Now, it has emerged that AT&T version of HTC One M8 and HTC One M9 will receive the firmware update only after a few weeks.
HTC's VP of product management, Mo Versi, has revealed in a tweet that seeding of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to AT&T's HTC One M8 and HTC One M9 has been delayed. He, however, said that the firmware update will happen within a couple of weeks (check out the tweet below).
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update should come with features like multi-user mode, Doze mode, Google Now on Tap, and bug fixes, and security patch for the month of May. Major carriers like Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint have pushed out the firmware update to its versions of HTC One M8 and HTC One M9.
HTC has confirmed that several devices, like HTC One M8, HTC M9+, HTC One E9, HTC ME, HTC One E8, HTC M8 EYE, HTC Butterfly 3, HTC Desire 826, HTC Desire 820, and HTC Desire 816, will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
