Here's some good news for HTC One M9 T-Mobile variant owners. The device will finally receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA (over-the-air) update in a few days' time after months of waiting.
HTC's product management chief Mo Versi has revealed Android 6.0 Marshmallow update schedule for T-Mobile variant of HTC One M9. He announced on his Twitter page that the device has received technical approval for the firmware and that OTA update will be rolled out on 16 February.
However, it may take some time for the firmware to reach some devices, as it will be rolled out in phases.
It may be mentioned that the firmware has already been seeded to Sprint HTC One M9 and the unlocked devices. The other HTC device that has received the new firmware is the One M8 Dual SIM.
Leakster @LlabTooFeR had earlier tweeted that HTC Desire Eye will get the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update with Sense 7.0 later this year without revealing the tentative date or month.
The Taiwanese smartphone maker has confirmed that its devices like HTC One M9+, HTC One E9, HTC One E9+, HTC One ME, HTC One E8, HTC One M8 EYE, HTC Butterfly 3, HTC Desire 826, HTC Desire 820 and HTC Desire 816 too will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, but is yet to come up with a schedule.
