Huawei has finally started rolling out the much-awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its P8 Lite smartphone that was released last year. The firmware update comes to the device in Europe a few months after the Huawei Honor 7 received it.
The company has announced on its Polish fan page that Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has been rolled out to the P8 Lite via OTA (over-the-air) and the file weighs 1.5GB, reported GSM Arena. It went on to say that the firmware update will come to the unlocked versions first before carriers start seeding it.
The Huawei P8 Lite ran on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop when it was released last year. It sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 720x1,280 pixels (294 ppi pixel density), and powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 620 processor. It also houses a 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB), a 2GB RAM, a 13MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture and 27mm lens, a 5MP front-snapper and a 2,200mAh battery.
