Samsung has finally starting rolling out the Android Marshmallow update to some of its devices after months of wait, and now, Verizon is reportedly planning to start seeding the firmware to the Galaxy Note 5 devices in the United States.
A report by DroidLife has claimed the Verizon variant of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will receive the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update in the U.S. from March 4, and take the software version to VRU2BPB2. The update comes with features like Google Now on Tap, Doze, Wi-Fi Calling, Live Broadcast improvements and several UI tweaks.

How to install Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on your Galaxy Note 5 handsets:
- You should get firmware update notification message on your handset
- Select "Yes, I'm in"
- Your phone will re-start automatically after installation
- Your phone is now updated to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
For manual update:
- Go to Settings Select "About phone"
- Select "System updates"
- Select "Yes, I'm in"
- Select "Install now" after downloading is done
- Your phone will re-start automatically after installation
- Your phone is now updated to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
Samsung has already rolled out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and Galaxy S6 edge+ in its home country, South Korea, but is yet to reach out to other countries.
A report by SamMobile had earlier claimed the Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920C) had received the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update in Cambodia, but it could be just another rumour as Samsung is yet to confirm it.

The South Korean electronics giant is expected to roll out the firmware to several devices, including the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 4 Duos, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6 Duos, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S5 Neo, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A3, Galaxy A8, Galaxy S5 LTE-A, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy A7, Galaxy E7, Galaxy E5, Galaxy J7, Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J2.
