Lenovo has reportedly released the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop to its flagship smartphone Vibe X2 via OTA (Over-The-Air) in India.
In February, Lenovo had announced that it would roll-out Google's candy flavoured mobile OS to A5000, A6000, P70-A, S90-A, VIBE Z2, and VIBE Z2 Pro (Lenovo K920 including) in the second quarter of 2015.
In that order, the company deployed the updates to Vibe Z2, S90-A, S60-A and Vibe Z Pro. Now Fone Arena has confirmed that Lenovo has rolled out the firmware to the Vibe X2 in India.
How to Install Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OTA Update on Lenovo Vibe X2:
If Lenovo Vibe X2 owners are getting the update notifications on the smartphone, then select - "Yes, Download" option >> then, after downloading, select >> "Install now." The phone will restart automatically and the OS will be updated to the new version.
We would like to remind out readers that the roll-out process is being carried out in phases, so it will take some time to reach all the corners of the country.
Until then, users can check for OTA update manually by going to – 'Settings' >> 'About phone' >> 'System update' >> 'Check Now';

The new software (build number: X2-AP_S223_150528_ROW) is a pretty massive weighing close to 1.1GB.

It will bring in the new design language -- "Material Design" -- with interactive user interface, lots of animation graphics, lock-screen notification options and the replacement of Dalvik with ART as its default runtime will bring improvement in performance and battery-life and many more features.
