As promised last week, Sony has reportedly released the much-anticipated Android Lollipop via OTA (Over-The-Air) to two Xperia smartphones.
Sony confirmed the news via Twitter that the new Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update has been rolled out to the Xperia C3 and T2 Ultra.
The company also added that the original first-generation Xperia Z series device is next in the line to get Google's new mobile OS update. It will be released in phases spread over a few weeks.
The new update bearing build number: 19.3.A.0.470 is said to bring in the new design language- "Material Design", with interactive user interface, lots of animation graphics, lock-screen notification options and the replacement of Dalvik with ART as its default runtime will bring improvement in performance-and-battery-life enhancement and many more features to the Xperia C3 (D2533) and Xperia T2 Ultra (D5303), reported Xperia Blog.

Few other noteworthy improvements include option to transfer apps from phone flash memory to SD card and multi-user profiles (work, private & guest).
Other devices, which are confirmed to receive the new OS software in coming days include Xperia Z Ultra GPE (Google Play Edition), Xperia ZR, Xperia ZL, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Tablet, Xperia Tablet Z and Xperia Z2 Tablet.
How to Install Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update on smartphones via OTA [Over-The-Air]:
If Sony Xperia Z series owners are getting the update notifications, then select - "Yes, Download" option >> then, after downloading, select >> "Install now". The phone will restart automatically and the OS will be updated to the new version.
