The news of Malayalam superstar Mammootty doing a Tamil movie had made headlines recently. The latest we hear is that makers of the movie had roped in Andrea Jeremiah and Anjali to play the lead in the movie.
Director by Ram, the movie is touted to be a feel good flick and the shooting of the movie is expected to kick-start in next three-four months soon after the director finishes the shooting of his current project "Taramani", which stars Andrea and newbie Vasanth Ravi.
Apparently, the director is simultaneously involved with the research process of upcoming Mammootty flick, which he is planning to release by the end of the year.
Other than "Taramani", Ram has previously directed "Kattradhu Thamizh" (2007) and "Thanga Meengal" (2013) and both the movies were critically acclaimed. "Thanga Meengal" took a step ahead by winning National Film Award for Best feature Film in Tamil as well as the popular Vijay Awards for Best Film.
Meanwhile, the director has confirmed that Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose the music for the yet untitled movie.
For Andrea, this will be her first film in which she will share screen space with Mammootty even though she had appeared in couple of Malayalam movies. After the shooting of "Taramani", the actress is expected to join Mohanlal for the shooting of Malayalam movie "Loham" directed by Ranjith .
For Anjali, this is her second movie with director Ram after "Kattradhu Thamizh". The movie had won her Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut in Tamil and Vijay Awards for the Best Actress.
Ram's upcoming directorial would be Mammootty's sixteenth Tamil movie. The superstar was last seen in 2010 bilingual movie "Vandae Maatharam" with Arjun. He is currently busy with shooting of Malayalam movie "Bhaskar the Rascal" along with Nayanthara.
