Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was the chief guest at the special screening of the Hollywood film "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" at a suburban theatre. The grand premier of  "Mandela:Long Walk To Freedom" was attended by the cast of the film Idris Elba and Terry Pheto as well as several important guest like Shama Sikandar along with Alex O'Neil  and  Rajeev Paul  among others.

Speaking before the screening of the film, Big B shared his personal connection and memories with Mandela.  The actor wrote on his blog, "Mandela the movie produced by dear friend Anant Singh from SAf, and he and his team solely responsible through the kindness of Mr Mandela to give us the permission to bring the very first Concert to SAf, at a time when apartheid was just on its way out".

The film is based on 'Long Walk to Freedom', the 1994 autobiography by former South African President Nelson Mandela.

  "Mandela:Long Walk to Freedom" held its world premier at Toronto International Film Festival. The film has been screened at the White House for US president Barrack Obama and also premiered in London which was attended by the British Royal Family: Prince William and Princess Kate.
