Aamir Khan, whose last release "PK" is set to premiere in China, has been roped in to star in a China-India co-production film along with Jackie Chan.
The news came up after Chinese regulators in presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, announced three such China-India films that will unite Chinese martial arts and Indian culture, reported DNA.
The first film titled "Kung Fu Yoga" stars Aamir and Chan while the second film will be based on the life of a noted Buddhist monk Xuan Zang.
"Kung Fu Yoga" will showcase the Chinese martial arts with Indian culture. While Kung Fu is one of the most well-known martial arts techniques originated in China, Indians opt for Yoga to maintain physical well being of the body and mind.
The third film titled "Da Nao Tian Zhu", will be directed by Chinese star Wang Baoqiang.
With this tie-up, Indian as well as Chinese films are expected to strengthen their bond and broaden their reach.
According to a report in PTI, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been signed in to star in the Indo-Chinese project based on the life of Chinese monk Xuan Zang.
The film starring the "Piku" star will be a big budget one and will also star Chinese star Huang Xiaoming. Eros International and China Film Group will jointly produce the film.
The shooting for the film is expected to commence on 25 May.
