Shahid Kapoor is currently trying to balance his professional and personal life. It has been reported that the actor's wife Mira Rajput has been hospitalised for a second time and Shahid, whose film "Udta Punjab" released on June 17, had to rush to the hospital.
It is said that Mira's family does not want to risk their daughter's health, thus she was hospitalised to take rest. Her family is by her side to take care of her when Shahid is not around. "She's been hospitalised for rest and the family has been rallying around her when Shahid is not around. The third trimester is an extremely risky phase and Mira and the baby's well-being is of utmost importance. So, to avoid any stress for her, she's been admitted in and will be there for a while," SpotboyE quoted a source as saying.
Mira has entered her third trimester and Shahid has been taking care of his wife and due to this he has not signed any movie. He has in fact turned down a few movie offers too. There were reports that Shahid won't be attending any "Udta Punjab" promotional event as he does not want to leave Mira, but the actor seemed to have been busy as the film went through a lot of trouble. From the censor board issue to the film being leaked online, the team of "Udta Punjab" has faced a lot of obstacles, but the movie was at last released on June 17.
Meanwhile, Shahid has been gushing about his wife at many interviews. The pregnancy news of Mira came as a surprise to everyone when Shahid announced it at the trailer launch of "Udta Punjab."
Mira was spotted flaunting her baby bump at the Mumbai airport when the duo returned from their babymoon. Shahid and Mira had gone to Maldives in May. The buzz about Mrs. Kapoor's pregnancy began when she attended the Lakme Fashion Week 2016 and was spotted with a small baby bump. While that got tongues wagging, Masaba Gupta reposted Mira's Instagram post that fuelled speculations. The post featured Mira and Masaba's photo with the caption: "Two M's and a Bum #sayheytobey – little M."
