American Idol XIV 2015 has entered the most exciting phase of the competition with the number of contestants to be narrowed down from 24 to 16 and then to 12 in the three-episode semi-finals.
With top 12 boys having performed on Wednesday, it's the turn of the top 12 girls to take the stage in the hope of making it to the next round. The semi-finals act will be aired on Thursday, 26 February at 8/7c PM on FOX and America will decide their fate in the competition through their votes.
The top 12 girls, who will perform on Thursday night, are Tyanna Jones, Adanna Duru, Jax Cole, Sarina-Joi Crowe, Shi Scott, Loren Lott, Shannon Berthiaume, Lovey James, Joey Cook, Alexis, Maddie Walker, and Katherine Winston.
On Wednesday, top 12 boys performed to strike a chord with the Americans, but it was not very impressive with only a few managing to deliver the goods.
Recap of Semi-finals Performance on Wednesday:
Adam Ezegelian: He performed Twisted Sister's "I Wanna Rock." It was an average performance, which might put him in danger zone.
Michael Simeon: He rendered Michael Bolton's "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You." It was an average performance.
Savion Wright: He sang "Hey, Soul Sister" by Train, and it was a beautiful rendition. The performance should put him in safe zone.
Mark Andrew: He performed The Band's "The Weight." He put up a good performance though not extraordinary.
Trevor Douglas: He rendered Gavin DeGraw's "Best I Ever Had" and it was a poor performance.
Clark Beckham: He sang "When a Man Loves a Woman" by Percy Sledge. It was a soulful rendition.
Rayvon Owen: He performed Nick Jonas' "Jealous" and it was a very good rendition. This performance should put him in safe zone.
Daniel Seavey: He sang Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" and it was a poor performance.
Riley Bria: He took on Eric Church's "Homeboy" and it was a poor performance.
Quentin Alexander: He performed Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You" and it was a beautiful rendition.
Nick Fradiani: He performed Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" and it was another spectacular rendition.
Qaasim Middleton: He sang Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" and it was a good performance.
Going by Wednesday's performance, it looks like Trevor, Michael, Adam, Daniel, and Riley will face the danger of being eliminated. However, it is the audience who will decide the fate of the contestants.
