The final season of "American Idol" is coming to a close, with the episode aired March 24 revealing that MacKenzie Bourg, Trent Harmon, Dalton Rapattoni and La'Porsha Renae are the top four contestants. While there are three more episodes left in the season, most fans have already chosen their winner among them.
This week "American Idol" celebrated Sia week, with all the contestants singing popular songs by the Australian singer. The singer, who is best known for covering her face with huge wigs, reportedly even revealed her face to the contestants while coaching them for their performances.
The first round of the episode featured the contestants singing classic rock songs, with La'Porsha senging Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive," Mackenzie crooning "I Want You to Want Me," by Cheap Trick, Tren singing "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top and Dalton rendering "God Only Knows" by Dalton Rapattoni. In round-2 of the episode, also known as the Sia round, La'Porsha, Mackenzie, Trent and Dalton sang "Elastic Heart," "Titanium," "Chandelier" and "Bird Set Free" respectively.
So far in the competition, La'Porsha was seen as the default winner, with her powerful voice and brilliant control over the vocals. This week, however, Trent gave his best performance on the show. Jennifer Lopez was so impressed by the rendition that she told him, "We're rooting for you."
While Dalton and Mackenzie are phenomenal singers in their own right and deserve to be in the competition, it looks like the final competition will be between La'Porsha and Trent. In fact, here is how we think the rest of the season will pan out:
MacKenzie Bourg – Fourth Place
Dalton Rapattoni – Third Place
Trent Harmon – Runner Up
La'Porsha Renae - Winner
