The third episode of "American Horror Story: Hotel" will introduce viewers to Angela Bassett's character Ramona, who has made it her aim to destroy Lady Gaga's The Countess.
And her first step will be to kidnap Donovan.
It is not immediately known what went wrong between Ramona and The Countess. But it is believed that the two had a passionate relationship, which was cut short by The Countess, and now Ramona wants to seek revenge for being discarded without a second thought.
Before Ramona met Gaga's character, she was an actress. "Until then she absolutely saw herself as a heterosexual woman, but she's become more fluid. But things sort of went off the rails, so now they have this acrimonious relationship," Bassett told TVGuide.
It is believed that Ramona and Donovan will join hands to get revenge on The Countess, as the previous episode saw him being discarded by the former owner of Hotel Cortez after she found a new love interest, Tristan (Finn Wittrock). Donovan is forced to hit the streets to feed his ancient blood virus, and this is where he meets Bassett's Ramona.
"[Ramona] needs a way in to find The Countess' vulnerable spot, so she enlists Donovan," Bassett told TV Guide."I think Donovan has been loved and discarded the same way Ramona has, so they have that in common with one another."
"American Horror Story: Hotel" episode 3 airs on Wednesday, 21 October, at 10pm on FX.
The synopsis for "Mommy" reads:
Alex [Chloë Sevigny] is pushed to her breaking point after Scarlett [Shree Crooks] stirs up memories of Holden. Donovan is targeted by a dangerous rival of The Countess.
