Lady Gaga appears to be rocking her role as Elizabeth in the fifth season of "American Horror Story" called "American Horror Story: Hotel."
Co-creator Ryan Murphy and the cast have been raving about Gaga's performance, calling her a complete professional and a delight to work with. "Lady Gaga is everything I dreamed of and more. Lovely, a total pro, and TERRIFYINGLY GENIUS in her role," Murphy said in a tweet.
Matt Bomer, who plays one of Elizabeth's love interests in the show, also praised Gaga by tweeting, "@ladygaga is killing the game on @AHSFX! Genius, sexy, terrifying. Total pro and beautiful soul to boot. So much fun comin yo way! #inspired."
Cast:
Besides Gaga and Bomer, "American Horror Story: Hotel" will also feature Sarah Paulson as Sally who is sexy and dark; Kathy Bates as Iris, who runs the hotel; Wes Bentley as detective John Lowell; Finn Wittrock as one of Gaga's character's love interests; and Angela Bassett as Romana Royale.
Story:
Gaga is essaying Elizabeth, the wealthy owner of Hotel Cortez in downtown Los Angeles, who has "a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode and plays out over the course of the season," Murphy told reporters at the Television Critics' Association tour.
Theme:
The upcoming season will also be darker than the previous instalments and according to show insiders, season 5 can be more disturbing that "American Horror Story: Asylum."
Speaking about the theme, Murphy told Deadline that "American Horror Story: Hotel" will be "more horror-based".
Season 5 will be more about "a theme and an idea that's very close to my heart that I've always wanted to do that's a little bloodier and grislier I think than anything that we've done before; it's straight horror this year".
Release Date:
The fifth season of the show will air on 7 October and will conclude on 20, January, 2016. The first episode is called "Checking In".
