The season 5 of "American Horror Story" will hit TV screens this October and "Hotel" is expected to be bigger and fancier than the extremely successful chapters of "AHS" so far.
Although the exact air date had not been revealed so far, considering the history of the show on FX, we can assume that it will occur within the first nine days so as to concede with Halloween celebrations.
The new fancier location of the show is not the only thing that is different about the upcoming season, but also the absence of the brilliant Jessica Lange, who was a magnanimous presence in all the four seasons. In many ways, she was the matriarch of the show and, it would take quite a few men to make up in her absence.
If the rumours about "The Glee" star Darren Criss joining the cast are true, he will be joining men like Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, Max Greenfield and Wes Bently. And of course, regulars Evan Peters and Denis O'Hare are there to lead the way.
Vanity Fair suggests a theory that the men who look more or less similar will be the victims of a woman serial killer. "American Horror Story" plots are never that predictable, but it could very well be the skeletal story-line, using which Ryan Murphy will build an extravagant story.
To make Sarah Paulson the serial killer would be too obvious, especially since Murphy has tweeted that her character Hypodermic Dally will be "the baddest bad girl of them all". The other women these men might have to hide from will be Lady Gaga and Kathy Bates.
