An American astronaut has become the first person to play the bagpipes in space. Kjell Lindgren played Amazing Grace on his custom-built instrument on 7 November in tribute to a colleague who died.
He recorded a video of himself playing the song at the International Space Station (ISS), after his former instructor Victor Hurst died in October. The pipes were made out of plastic, meaning they were lighter and easier to clean.
Back on Earth, retired astronaut Chris Hadfield has released his first single from his upcoming album Space Sessions: Songs From A Tin Can. Hadfield shot to fame after recording himself singing David Bowies Space Oddity while on the ISS in 2013.
Last month, a video of Russian astronauts juggling oranges at the ISS went viral, being viewed over 20,000 times on YouTube.
