Actor and politician Ambareesh, who turned 64 on May 29, threw a birthday party for all his friends in Sandalwood. Almost the entire Kannada film industry had gathered at an upscale hotel on the special day to wish the actor, who is known as 'ajatashatru' (one who has no enemies).
Upendra, Arjun Sarja, Puneeth Rajkumar, Darshan, Ramesh Aravind, Yash, music director Gurukiran, SV Rajendra Singh Babu and his son Aditya, Prajwal Devaraj and many others were spotted at the party. Telugu actors Mohan Babu and Jagapathi Babu flew down from Andhra Pradesh to greet Ambareesh on his special day.
After attending the party, actress Priyanka Upendra shared a couple of photos of the occasion on her Facebook page and wrote, "What a wonderful evening..Wishing Ambareesh Sir a very happy birthday!! With the beautiful and elegant Sumalatha ma'am..â¤ï¸love u. [sic]"
However, there were many celebrities, who could not attend the event, the notable among them being Kiccha Sudeep and Ramya.
Ambareesh started his acting career with the blockbuster "Naagarahaavu" and has been part of many successful ventures like "Paduvaaralli Pandavaru," "Chakravyuha," "Olavina Udugore," etc. He is currently serving as the Housing Minister in Siddaramaiah's Congress government in the state.
Meanwhile, the actor's teaser from "Doddamane Huduga" was released last week and met with positive reviews.
