The sudden death of Kannada actor Ambareesh (Ambarish), who died of heart attack on Saturday, has shocked and saddened all his fans and the celebs from the southern industry.
Actor-turned-politician MH Ambareesh was rushed to a private hospital in Bengaluru late on Saturday after he complained of breathing problems. He died of cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The news about his death spread like wildfire within minutes and the people across the state were shocked to hear it. Many gathered at the hospital to take a last glimpse at the actor.
Some celebs like Yash, Puneeth Rajkumar, Shivarajkumar and Rockline Venkatesh immediately to the hospital after hearing the news about Ambareesh's death. Along with many other political leaders, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy also rushed to the hospital.
Talking to media, HD Kumaraswamy said that Ambareesh was a great friend and that he was shocked to hear the news about his demise. He has a lot of contribution to the Kannada film industry and Karnataka politics. He announced that "as a mark of respect to him, the government has declared an official mourning of three days."
Ambareesh acted in more than 200 movies and was last seen in Ambi Ninge Vayassaytho, which was released on September 27. He was not just known for his great acting skills, but also for friendly gestures.
Many celebs and politicians in neighbouring states were also shocked to hear about his death. Some of them took to Twitter to express their sadness and offer condolences to his family.
