It is raining discounts online. Amazon India, Snapdeal and Flipkart are celebrating the 70th Independence Day of India by offering steep discounts on products. Everything from electronics to clothing and automobiles is getting heavy discounts during the limited-period sale. Amazon's Great Indian Sale has completed its first day and continues to attract consumers on the second day as well.
Amazon Great Indian Sale started on Monday and runs through Wednesday. Many special deals and offers are available for online shoppers. Exclusive benefits for Amazon Prime members bring 30-minute early access to top "lightning deals" every day and free one-day shipping on eligible items with no minimum order.
As a part of the three-day sale, Amazon is offering an additional 10 percent discount to buyers shopping with SBI credit and debit cards through Amazon app, and 7.5 percent off on purchases made through the website. The maximum discount is Rs. 2,000 and shoppers must spend at least Rs. 5,000 to avail the benefits.
Amazon started its sale with a bang. The company said that it sold the first 100,000 units right after the sale began at midnight. The demand for products under large appliances, software and kids' apparels witnessed its biggest spike.
