"Amar Akbar Anthony", which is the debut directorial of Nadhirshah, is set to hit theatres on Friday, 16 October.

The multi-starrer movie, which will have Prithviraj, Indrajith and Jayasurya in the lead roles, has already created hype among fans and filmbuffs.

The trio, who had been sharing a great bond and friendship for a long time, had made a top Malayalam blockbuster the previous time they had come together. The 2006 superhit movie, "Classmates", is one of the highest grossing Malayalam films ever.

"Amar Akbar Anthony", which is touted as a comedy thriller, is scripted jointly by Bibin George and Vishnu Unnikrishnan.

The upcoming movie is one of the much awaited films of the year as it is Nadhirshah's first attempt to direct a film. He has already proved his talent in acting, mimicry, parody and many other fields in the entertainment world.

Whether "Amar Akbar Anthony" can repeat the success of "Classmates" is something one needs to wait and watch.
