Amala Paul has come down strongly on a disrespectful comment made to her by a follower on Twitter, asking the person to mind his language and respect women.
The comment was posted after the Kerala-based actress uploaded a glamorous picture of hers on the social networking site. Amala, who is the brand ambassador of Chennai Rockers at the Celebrity Badminton League, had worn a Nitin Karthikeya-designed outfit for the launch event held recently, and shared the photo on Twitter. While many of her followers complimented her on her stylish avatar, one of them posted a cheap comment, which did not go well with Amala Paul.
The post read, "Divorced women's are always hot & naughty. [sic]"
Amala Paul hit back by saying, "Hey Boy...Looks like your ambitions are in the wrong direction. Pls learn to respect women !!! [sic]"
Social media sites have become a popular platform for celebrities to connect directly with their fans. On the flip side, they also open the floodgates for unwanted comments and criticism.
On the professional front, Amala Paul has returned to films with a bang after she decided to get separated from her husband, AL Vijay. She now has a few interesting projects lined up, and has bagged big projects like Vada Chennai and the Kannada film, Hebbuli, in quick succession.
While Amala Paul has paired up with Dhanush in Vada Chennai, which is written and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Vetrimaaran, she has teamed up with Kiccha Sudeep in Hebbuli, which will hit the screens in December 2016.
