A day after Amala's husband and director Vijay responded to the matter saying he will listen to the decision of his parents, his father and film producer AL Alagappan has confirmed that all is all not well between the celebrity couple. In a telephonic conversation with Tamil channel Sathiyam TV, Alagappan claimed that the news about Amala and Vijay planning to get divorced is true.
"Amala has been committing many movies after their marriage that had led to issues between them as Vijay didn't like it. She had then decided not to commit any more films. However, she is now on a signing spree and acted in Suriya's 'Pasanga 2,' Dhanush's 'Amma Kanakku' and his upcoming film 'Vada Chennai.' We can't take it anymore and even talked to her parents, but she was not even listening to us. I am not sure what Vijay has told her regarding this, but our son is important for us. The news you heard about them getting divorced is 100% true and will be done legally [translated from Tamil]," Alagappan is heard saying in a clip posted on the news channel's YouTube page.

However, Amala, who was last seen in the Malayalam movie "Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum" has not yet responded to the news.
The latest about their relationship hitting rock bottom has brought a shock to the entire film fraternity and the audience.
