Speculations are rife that actress Amala Paul is pregnant with her first child. The "Velai Illa Pattathari" star tied the knot with director AL Vijay in June 2014.
Amala, who is celebrating her birthday on 26 October, is holidaying in Macau with her husband. In a Facebook post, the actress has posted a message stating that Vijay has given her "the best gift a woman could ever wish for." Rumours are doing the rounds that the actress is expecting her first baby.
"Time flies n we get older every year..N me too,one more year today..be careful what you wish for coz u might get it..I wasn't careful but I got whatever I wished for.my Vijay gave me the best gift a woman could ever wish for..Not only the surprise he gave me now at Macau but the deepest of love and affection he gives me everyday. .I don't know what to say but one thing for sure, am a blessed child !!! Thanku Lord ...," Amala poster on her Facebook page.
However, there is no official announcement regarding this from the couple.
Amala began her acting career with the 2009-release Malayalam film "Neelathamara." She became popular in Tamil with the release of the critically acclaimed film, "Mynaa." Since then she has starred in several Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films including "Thalaivaa," "Oru Indian Pranayakadha," "Iddarammayilatho," "Vettai" and "Naayak" among others. Her last Tamil release, "Velai Illa Pattathari," turned out to be a huge hit at the box office.
The actress fell in love with Vijay while shooting for "Deivathirumagal", co-starring Vikram and Anushka Shetty. Amala has cut down her film projects post her marriage. She is awaiting the release of a couple of projects including "Laila O Laila" (Malayalam) and "Mili" (Malayalam).
On the other hand, Vijay is helming a project with Vikram Prabhu in the lead. Malayalam actress Keerthi Suresh will reportedly be making her Tamil film debut with Vijay's film.
