The Finnish company is reportedly releasing the recently unveiled Nokia N1 tablet early next month.
Nokia took social media site Weibo to confirm the news that the new N1 Android slate would be made available in China on 7 January and is said to be priced $249 (Around €199/₹15,400).
Nokia N1 was originally unveiled in mid-November. It flaunts Aluminum shell and looks a lot like a clone of iconic iPad series tablet, which boasts premium metal cover (with surface anodization) and curved corners. Even the front-camera module placement is uncannily similar to the Apple slate.
Other stipulated features include 7.9-inch IPS screen with 2048 x 1536p resolution, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, a 64-bit class Intel Atom SoC (System on Chip) backed by 533 MHz PowerVR G6430 graphics engine, 2GB RAM and 5GB eMMC inbuilt memory.
As of now, there is no word on whether Nokia has any plans of launching the N1 in India or any other regions.
In a related topic, Nokia is also working on an Android Lollipop powered smartphone code-named C1. It is said to house an Intel-based CPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory, 8.0-megapixel camera on the rear side and a 5.0-megapixel snapper on the front.
