Allu Arjun's DJ aka Duvvada Jagannadham has landed in trouble after a Brahmin group filed a complaint against its makers over the lyrics of a recently released song from the movie.
DJ aka Duvvada Jagannadham has been creating a lot of buzz in the media ever since it was announced. But for the first time, the movie has made headlines for a wrong reason. The makers of the film released the song Gudilo Badilo Madilo Vodilo on YouTube on May 29, 2017. Brahmin community is upset over the use of words like Namakam Chamakam in this track.
Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao, President of the All India Brahmin Federation (AIBF) has recently registered a complaint with the regional censor board, seeking the removal of those words from the song Gudilo Badilo Madilo Vodilo. "The censor officer responded positively," Deccan Chronicle quoted Dronamraju as saying.
The AIBF president said: "These days, filmmakers are showing the Brahmin community in a very negative and poor light. In DJ, they have taken the words from Lord Shiva's recital Namakam Chamakam, and made a pun on it. We will not tolerate this."
Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao has reportedly given a copy of the complaint to the Minister and also DGP of Telangana State. "We can't use words from Namakam Chamakam in a romantic song. It is completely wrong and against Hindu culture. It is like shaming the Hindu Gods. We definitely oppose it and want to fight legally too," he added.
