Allari Naresh's "Bandipotu" got a decent opening and led the race at the box office, while "Gayakudu" registered an average response. Both the films have affected the business of "Temper".
"Bandipotu" is one of the most-hyped and highly-promoted Telugu movies of 2015. The movie released in over 350 screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and 100+ cinema halls in Karnataka and other parts of India and International markets on 20 February. It clashed with one-week-old release "Temper" starring Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal in the leads.
The Allari Naresh and Eesha starrer, which had registered an average amount of advance booking, opened to a decent response in both single screens and multiplexes in the morning show on Friday. The film got positive reviews from viewers and the word of mouth took its business upwards in the afternoon and evening shows.
The makers of "Bandipotu" are yet to reveal the numbers of its first day business. As per early trends, the movie has collected approximately ₹3.50+ crore at the worldwide box office on its opening day. But the film could not beat records of Allari Naresh's previous release and become the biggest opener for the actor.
Another new release "Gayakudu" is a small budget film and also had a decent amount of promotion before it hit the screens. Released in around 200 screens, the movie received an average response in the morning show.
Having garnered mixed reviews from the viewers, the film could not show the much-needed jump in the later shows. As per early trends, it has raked in around ₹1.5 crore at the worldwide box office on the first day.
"Bandipotu" is leading the race at the ticket counters, while "Temper" and "Gayakudu" landed in the second and third places respectively. All the movies are expected to show big leap over the weekend.
