Cricket fans across the world, especially in Pakistan, are fuming to ridiculous comments that Aamer Sohail recently made on a Pakistani TV show about their national cricket team's performance in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Giving his one-of-a-kind comments ahead of Pakistan's semi-final match against England, Sohail, who happens to be a former Pakistan cricket team captain, ultimately screwing his career following a match-fixing scandal, lambasted Sarfraz Ahmed for getting excited way too much.

The 50-year-old claims that people's wishes, the grace of Almighty Allah and an 'external force', which Sohail doesn't want to reveal, has been the reason behind Pakistan's impressive show.

Sarfraz needs to be told that you have not done anything great. Someone has helped you win the game. There is no reason for you (Sarfraz) to be so happy. We all know what happens behind the scenes.

Don't wish to get into the details on who won them the games. If asked, I will say that the prayers of the fans and God has won them the games. They have been brought to the final due to external factors and not based on on-field performance.

The boys now need to be level-headed and focus on playing good cricket.

- Aamer Sohail

The comments absolutely show the sorry state of Pakistan where even their former cricketers shy from saluting the good performance of the current team. What do you term it as? Sheer jealousy or just plain chutzpah?

Sohail later mentioned there was an "agenda" and that he was taken "out of context" as he was only referring to Sarfraz's not liking of Javed Miandad. However, the damage was already done in a big way and Sohail's own countrymen are left fuming like anything.

The question now is will Sohail reveal the external source fixing Pakistan's matches after the Champions Trophy 2017 final against India this Sunday?
