Alia Bhatt has never failed to entertain the audience on the silver screen. She is one of the youngest actresses to have enacted quite challenging roles. Now, Alia is set to appear in another such role in Meghna Gulzar's espionage thriller.
The movie is based on Harinder Sikka's book, Calling Sehmat. The story revolves around a Kashmiri woman (played by Alia), married to an army officer across the border, who provides Indian Intelligence with invaluable information during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
While Alia is set to play the Kashmiri wife, the recent buzz is that Masaan actor Vicky Kaushal will play Alia's husband in the film, DNA reported. As the duo will make a good pair, let's hope Vicky accepts this offer.
Earlier, the actor was supposed to play Deepika Padukone's husband in Padmavati, but later the role went to Shahid Kapoor. Fans are eagerly waiting for this talented actor to appear more often on the silver screen.
Vicky and Alia are both amazing actors and the duo will definitely nail their performances. This is not the first time Alia is trying something new and challenging. She had surprised everyone in her second film, Highway.
Last year, her role in Udta Punjab was highly appreciated across all quarters. Apart from the thriller movie, Alia will also be seen in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy opposite Ranveer Singh and a superhero movie with Ranbir Kapoor, directed by Ayan Mukerji.
