After Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt will now play the role of an actor's fan in her upcoming film "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania".
Bhatt, who is gradually becoming one of the masses' favourite Bollywood actress, will now be seen playing the role of a Punjabi girl, who is a big fan of Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The "2 States" actress had previously stated she has always admired Khan and has been a big fan of her. And now, her real-life admiration will be seen on reel.
"I have said this before. I love her, but I wouldn't dare to ever even imagine being compared to her. She is such a humongous star and such a great actress. I love her and she is my role model and ideal," Bhatt had said during a press conference, back in 2012.
In "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania", Bhatt is paired opposite her "Student Of The Year" co-star Varun Dhawan. Bhatt will essay the role of a Punjabi, named Kavya Singh, who is obsessed with the "Jab We Met" actress.
Bhatt is not the first to play the role of an actor's fan. Previously, Ranbir and Shahid had played the role of die-hard fans of Bollywood stars.
In "Besharam" (2013), Ranbir is seen a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan, while Shahid was a fan of Salman Khan in Rajkumar Santoshi's "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" (2013).
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh will also be seen in the role of a fan in his upcoming film "Fan", directed by Maneesh Sharma.
"Most of the characters I do are the ones I create... for the first time, I am going to play what has created me... I will be in my next a "FAN"," SRK had tweeted.
