Like many other celebs before her, Alia Bhatt could not run too far away from dating rumors. Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, and Arjun Kapoor are named with which she is often romantically linked with. The actress, however, has never openly expressed her love for any of them, always maintaining that her private life is her personal matter.
While reports continue to pair her with Sidharth, fans think otherwise. According to an IBTimes India poll, Alia and Varun's chemistry has been voted as the best. With a whopping 41.9% of votes, the 'Badlapur' star won the race, whereas Sidharth finished second with 28.83%. Gautam Gulati and Arjun stood third and fourth with 22.16% and 7.1% votes respectively.
Varun and Alia have done two films together – 'Student of the Year' and 'Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania' – which turned out to be box-office hits. Their infectious on-screen chemistry was appreciated by the audience, so was their real-life equation.
Calling one another good friends, both the actors have often found themselves trapped in gossip columns. However, that didn't really mar their spirit as they are often spotted hanging out together.
"He is also always there for his friends and will not change at all and the credit for that goes to his upbringing. What I don't like about him is that he sometimes disappears on me. You disappear on the world, but not for me. It's not that I expect him to call me five times a day, but I am a very particular friend and am possessive about him," The Times of India quoted the 'Highway' star as saying.
And true to Alia's account, the actor went underground for a little while after 'Badlapur' left him demoralized. "That phase changed my friendship and equation with everyone, not just Alia. That is the price I had to pay to do this film. I actually have lost touch with a lot of my school friends," he told DNA.
