Actress Alia Bhatt launched Rohit Khilnani's book "I Hate Bollywood" in New Delhi on Monday, a month after Amitabh Bachchan unveiled the book in Mumbai.
The "Highway" actress interacted with the media and also cracked some jokes along with Khilnani at the event. She said, "I enjoy the jokes. It's nice to know that once a day people are thinking of you and are smiling."
Bhatt actually read the book on the fight to Delhi and found it very interesting. "The day I was told by my manager that I have been invited to launch Rohit Khilnani's book I told her I want to do it because I want to please him!" she said.
She went on to say that after reading the book she understood the other side of entertainment. She introduced Khilnani as one of the best film critics in Bollywood.
She apologised to the media as Khilnani's book depicted the story of journalists, Bhatt said: "I would also take this opportunity to say sorry to all news reporters if I have not given you time or journalists if I have not given you time, because I feel like you go through so hard but we just come and say han bass paanch minute denge. But sometimes we are really running late."
"Forgive me if I ever have rushed you," she added.
The "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" actress charmed the event with her views and looks. She attended the launch wearing Nisha Sainani separates with her hair tied in a top knot. She finished out the look with a brooch, a fish ring and white pumps.
The diva will soon be appearing on the big screen with Shahid Kapoor in two films – "Shandaar" and "Udta Punjab".
