Alia Bhatt will reportedly be seen in "Lunchbox" director Ritesh Batra's next movie, which will be a love story.
Ritesh Batra is currently in the UK and he reportedly finalised Alia for the upcoming untitled film before he went for the trip. "Ritesh approached Alia for the film before he left for UK and the actress has recently come on board the project," Times of India quoted a source.
While Alia has been finalised for the project, the makers of the film are still hunting for the lead male actor. Ritesh Batra is expected to come back to India by November-end and start shooting for the film around beginning of 2016.
Ritesh Batra was highly praised for "Lunchbox", which featured Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in key roles.
The director is currently busy shooting for his English project, "The Sense of an Ending" in the UK, which is based on Julian Barnes' novel of the same name.
Alia is all set to appear on-screen alongside Shahid Kapoor as the movie "Shaandaar" will release on 22 October. The trailer of the film was released some days ago and it received all round positive response.
