Akshay Kumar's "Housefull 3" is being marketed as an out-and-out comedy, but the story has darker shades too. Nikitin Dheer, Samir Kochhar and Arav Chowdharry have been roped in to essay negative roles.
Although they will be seen playing antagonists, the parts will have lighter shades. "I play a serious guy. It's intense like most of my previous characters," Nikitin told the Times of India. Meanwhile Arav said: "I have mostly played serious and action-oriented roles, but this one is in a lighter vein. It's negative but with a streak of comedy since the film is a comic caper."
The Sajid-Farhad directorial opens in theatres on June 3 and Akshay believes it is a safe film than his last, "Airlift." Predicting the comic caper's box-office fate, the superstar told Catch News that it could do well at the ticket window.
He also added that the film will earn from its satellite rights. "Also, a lot of money comes in through the satellite rights being sold (of Housefull 3). It (Housefull 3) is quite a satellite friendly film," Akshay further elaborated.
On one hand, he is hoping for the best for the film but on the other, he says he will lose respect with it. "It has never mattered [to me] what I have worked on in the past; I just know that now it is time to make people laugh. I've already been forgotten for Airlift, as people only want to know what's next," the Hindustan Times quoted Akshay as saying.
"Housefull 3" stars Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff and Boman Irani in key roles.
