Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0 has ended its first weekend in Pakistan on a positive note. The Hindi version of the movie was released in a limited number of screens and it has been reportedly received well by the cine-goers.
On the opening day, 2.0 made a decent collection as it raked in Rs 43 lakh. Following positive word-of-mouth, the business saw a huge jump on its second day as the flick reportedly earned Rs 80 lakh.
The Akshay Kumar-starrer saw a substantial increase in its business on its third day by earning Rs 85 lakh. However, the collection of the film saw a drop on Sunday as it raked in Rs 75 lakh to take its total tally to Rs 2.83 crore (Pakistan currency).
Akshay Kumar has a good fan following and this helped the movie to pull the audience to theatres.
Apart from Pakistan, the film has done well in other overseas centres. It has made notable business in the centres like US (Rs 21+ crore), Australia (Rs 4.87 crore), UK (Rs 3.77 crore), Malaysia (Rs 2.86 crore), New Zealand (Rs 90 lakh) and Germany (Rs 13.73 lakh).
Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0 is a science-fiction, directed by Shankar. The movie tries to throw light on the potential damage caused through cell phone tower radiation. The decent storyline and solid performance given by Rajini and Akshay are the highlights of the flick.
