In a shocking turns of events, Akshay Kumar and badminton star Saina Nehwal were threatened by Maoists from Chattisgarh for providing financial aids to families of CRPF jawans. The threat was spread through pamphlets, which were recovered by police from from Bailadila area in Chhattisgarh's Naxal-affected Bastar district.

Republic TV has reported the news on twitter. "#BREAKING: Maoists warn actor Akshay Kumar and badminton player Saina Nehwal for helping CRPF jawans," the tweet read.
Akshay and Saina had donated Rs 9 lakh and Rs 6 lakh, respectively, to the families of 25 jawans martyred in a Maoist ambush in Chattisgarh's Sukma district in April.
Recenty, the Toilet Ek Prem Katha actor was in news when he expressed his desire to contribute to the security forces during his meeting with Union Home Secretary, Rajiv Mehrishi. He also revealed his wish to develop a smartphone app, which will allow people donate money to the family of jawans or officers who get martyred in the line of duty.
