Kingfisher model Aisha Sharma was supposed to take her first big plunge with "Judwaa 2," but now she will make her debut opposite Akshay Kumar in "Namastey England." The Vipul Amrutlal Shah film also stars Sonakshi Sinha in the lead.
While Sonakshi will play the superstar's wife, Aisha will essay the role of his love interest. So, will it have extra-marital affair as its premise? Even though it's too soon to assume, it could make for a good story.
"Sonakshi won't be the only female lead opposite Akshay in NE. While she plays his wife, Aisha plays his love interest. She is very hot on the modelling circuit and her pairing with Akshay is a fresh one whereas, Sonakshi has been paired with the actor five times already," a source told DNA adding that Akshay has introduced Bollywood to potential leading ladies.
"He has an eye for fresh talent. Many an actress, including Taapsee Pannu and Tamannaah Bhatia, resurrected their B-Town careers because of him. They had sunk into oblivion here and were doing South movies till he gave them a break again in his films," the insider further elaborated.
"Namastey England," which for the longest time was being thought of as a sequel to "Namastey London" (starring Akshay and Katrina Kaif) is not. The director couldn't be any clear when he said that the film will have a fresh script and a different set of characters. Talking to Catch News, Vipul further revealed that the film is expected to go on floors this August and should wrap-up by December.
To be shot across postcard locales of Europe, the film will bring Akshay and Sonakshi together on screen for the fifth time after "Rowdy Rathore," "Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty," "Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara" and "Joker."
