Bollywood's khiladi Akshay Kumar has come to director Nikhil Advani's rescue. According to reports, Akshay might step into Hrithik Roshan's shoes for Advani's ambitious project "Bazaar".
The makers were supposed to shoot "Bazaar" with Hrithik, but rumour has it that the actor walked out of the film and the reason behind it was the failure of director Advani's last two films "Katti Batti" and "Hero".
"Hrithik lost faith in Nikhil's abilities and thought that it would be risky to team up with him for this film hence decided to opt out," DNA quoted a source as saying
And since Hrithik walked out, Advani approached Akshay for "Bazaar". Advani, who is producing Akshay starrer "Airlift", wanted to cast a big star for the film and after Hrithik, he decided to go ahead with the project with Akshay.
Akshay has also liked the script, but there is no official announcement from the actor whether he has given his nod to the project.
"Nikhil, who is producing Akshay's next release, bonded with him while shooting again after a long time. So after Hrithik walked out of Bazaar, Nikhil approached Akshay, who is known to work with directors irrespective whether their last film has worked or not. Plus, the director wanted an A-lister for the film and Akshay and Ajay seemed to be the only choices. And he chose to go ahead with Akshay because of the comfort factor," the source added.
Akshay has played the lead role in three of Advani's films, including "Chandni Chowk To China", "Patiala House" and "Airlift". And if he gives his nod to "Bazaar", this will be his fourth film with the director.
