Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has unleashed the first look of his movie titled Gold, which is touted to be a patriotic film dealing with the story of India's first Olympic gold medal.
Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter handle on Friday afternoon to announce the movie. The Bollywood actor tweeted: "Super excited to share a news with you guys, it's as good as striking #Gold Details out at 5 pm today,so do tune in Any guesses ."
Later in the evening, Akshay Kumar revealed the title of the movie and posted its first look. He wrote: "Set in 1948, the historic story of India's first Olympic medal as a free nation, #GOLD coming to you on 15th August, 2018!"
Producer Farhan Akhtar also tweeted the poster of the film Gold and wrote: "The story of when India won its first Olympic #Gold medal as an independent nation. Coming 2018.."
The first look poster of Gold features an Olympic gold medal set against the backdrop of the Indian national flag. It also shows that the story is about the country's first Olympic gold medal. As per the poster, the movie is being directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidwani and Farhan Akhtar and will be released in cinema halls around the world on August 15, 2018.
