Akshay Kumar is known to work on more than a couple of projects at a time, which almost always brings the total of films done in a year to five. This math makes it easier to picture the superstar scooching another film in his overloaded calendar.
According to a Hindustan Times report, Akshay and Paresh Rawal are all set to reunite for "Oh My God" sequel. To be produced by the "Airlift" actor and Ashvini Yardi, the second instalment will not be helmed by Umesh Shukla.
"They (Akshay and Ashvini) are still in the process of finalising the director, which will be announced in a few weeks' time. Akshay is excited about the core idea of the film. Although the duo was being pressurised for a long time [for a sequel], they didn't want to give in until they found a solid idea," an insider told the leading daily.
Meanwhile, there have been reports of Akshay and Ashvini going separate ways, which makes this venture dubious. But the source quashed rumours of rift saying they only wanted to experiment with different mediums.
While this is on, the 48-year-old actor has a bunch of other films lined up for release. He is currently working on Tinu Desai's "Rustom", a thriller set in 50s and then he has Sajid-Farhad's "Housefull 3" ready to hit screens sometime in July. He'll also be fighting Rainikanth in "Robot 2", which is what most of his fans are looking forward to.
"Welcome 3" with Katrina Kaif and "Awara Paagal Deewana 2" are two possible projects he's looking at, but there's been no official announcement on that front yet.
