The highly anticipated song from "Fugly" starring Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan has been unveiled.
The song, which is also the title track of the film has been voiced by current sensation, rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh.
The video shows Kumar mouthing the main rap lyrics as he is joined by Khan and the duo perform to some weird dance moves. While Khan seems to enjoy his cameo appearance syncing steps with Kumar, but the latter sports a tad grim look. The "Special 26" actor clearly overshadows Khan with greater screen presence as well as his impressive rapper role in the video.
Along with Khan and Kumar, the film's newcomer cast Mohit Marwah, Kiara Advani, Vijender Singh and Arfi Lamba are also seen in the video.
The song appears to have some catchy beats and might work its way to the youth audiences, but the video has plainly nothing new to offer. The only watchable item is the brief camaraderie Khan and Kumar share in the video.
The shooting of the "Fugly" track came under controversy when it was alleged that Khan was furious with Kumar for his limited screen presence in the song and had apparently walked out of the shoot mid way. However, the reports proved false as it emerged that Khan had actually completed the song's shooting and left.
The "Dabanng" star had previously featured in a special song with Kumar in Farah Khan's "Tees Maar Khan" (2010). The duo has also appeared together in romantic comedy "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi" (2004) with Priyanka Chopra.
"Fugly" directed by Kabir Sadanad, also stars Jimmy Shergill in a negative role. The film is set for release on 16 May 2014.
