A fitness fanatic who is trained in MMA, Vidyut Jammwal sounds every bit Akshay Kumar. And now, the two may come together for an action film.
Quashing rumours of the superstar being an adviser to the "Commando 2" team, Vidyut told the Press Trust of India that there was no truth to it, adding they may feature in one of director-producer Vipul Shah's other films instead.
"I had a conversation with Vipul the other day but he did not mention anything of this sort. I don't have any clue about this but Vipul has told me, 'I think it would be great if you and Akshay do an action movie together.' Vipul wants to make an action film with both of us," he further elaborated.
Vidyut's unmistakable rugged charm and ability to fight outlaws with effortless ease in "Commando" put him on the map. And he's all set to do all that one more time in the sequel, the shoot for which has already begun.
The actor, who doesn't have a god-father in the industry, rose to fame putting his action skills to use and intends on continuing it. "It is not an easy industry to be in, so, it's important to have an X-factor or an edge over others. My training in martial arts is one such thing which gives me that edge over my contemporaries. I want to use it to my advantage," the agency quoted him as saying.
In other news, Akshay has a tight schedule and squeezing in another project this year looks bleak. He has finished a schedule or two of "Rustom," and is right now focusing on Shankar's "2.0" ("Robot 2") starring Rajinikanth in the lead. "Holiday 2," "Oh My God 2," and "Namastey England" are some of the projects he's yet to begin work on.
