Akshay Kumar Gets Wife Twinkle and Daughter's Names Inked, Joins League of Ranbir, Priyanka, Deepika and Others [PHOTOS]

Bollywood action star Akshay Kumar recently got the names of his wife Twinkle Khanna and six-month-old daughter tattooed on his shoulders.

Akshay had earlier inked his son's name Aarav on his back while he was shooting for "Heyy Baby" in Australia.

Speaking about the new tattoos, a source close to the actor told DNA, "It is too personal and he doesn't want to show it or talk about it."  

But the news of his recent tattoos leaked after a crew member, who saw the actor performing a shirtless stunt scene for his upcoming movie, spilled the beans.

According to reports, the 45-year-old actor got the names of his wife and daughter inked from Mumbai a few months ago.

"Akshay is a family guy. He's away on long shoots a lot and he misses the three people who mean the world to him. Nothing says 'you mean the world to me'  more than having it stamped on your body for eternity," said the source.

"His wife Twinkle's name (Tina) is now on his left above his heart and Nitara features on his left shoulder. It took three hours a day to get each of the tats. The body art artist came to the actor's home and made the tattoos. The names are in English and in a simple and classy font - sans frills. Now no matter which part of the world he is in, his family will always be with him," the source added.

Akshay is one amongst the Bollywood actors who have inked the names of their loved ones on their body. 

Actor Hrithik Roshan has got his wife's name inked on his wrist. The couple also has star-shaped tattoos on their hands which represent epidermal love.

Priyanka Chopra has a tattoo which reads "Daddy's lil girl." She says tattoo conveys her emotion perfectly and it's really special to her as she is extremely close to her father.

Actress Deepika Padukone has the letter "RK" inked at the back of her neck, and it was done before breaking up with Ranbir Kapoor. She also got a beautiful anklet tattoo on her ankle.

The most discussed and celebrated tattoo amongst Bollywood actors was the one inked by Saif Ali Khan. The Pataudi prince got the name of his wife Kareena Kapoor tattooed on his arm to express his love for her before they got hitched last year.

Recently, it was reported that Ranbir Kapoor has got himself a tattoo that reads 'Awaara' in Devanagari script. The tattoo in his right inner wrist was first noticed during the promotion of his upcoming film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani".

Sanjay Dutt also has a few tattoos. He has got his parent's names inked on his chest. Recently, he got his wife Manyata's name tattooed on his left forearm.

Others actors who have tattoo include Ajay Devgn, Susmita Sen, Arjun Rampal and Esha Deol amongst others.
