Akshay Kumar is all set to collaborate with director Neeraj Pandey for one of his upcoming movies. After "Special 26" and "Baby," Neeraj Pandey will direct Akshay in his next film titled "Crack."
The "Rustom" actor shared the information on Twitter and also revealed the first-look poster of the film. Akshay also revealed the release date of "Crack", saying that it will hit the screens on Independence Day 2017. "Friends, I'm happy to share with you that after Special 26 and Baby, in 2017, I'm collaborating with Neeraj Pandey once again! [sic]," Akshay tweeted.
The poster of "Crack" shows a pair of spectacle glasses, one side of which has a crack. The movie will apparently be based on a very serious plot as the poster says, "Every storm has a rage, every rage has a story."
Akshay, who is currently enjoying the success of "Rustom" that has been co-produced by Neeraj, has been choosing very good films of late. His collaboration with Neeraj has always been very successful as "Special 26" and "Baby" were much critically acclaimed as well as box office winners.
The previous two films were based on nationality and the upcoming movie "Crack" also appears to have a patriotic angle as it will be released on Independence Day next year. Akshay's latest release "Rustom" is based on the real-life incidents of KM Nanavati muder case, wherein patriotism angle was evident too. It also featured Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta among others.
Apart from "Crack," Akshay has a couple of other upcoming movies, including "Jolly LLB 2" and "Namastey England." Also he will be seen in Rajinikanth's "2.0" that will present him as an antagonist. His first look from the Rajinikanth-starrer was released earlier that had received mixed response from fans.
