Akshara Haasan's ex-boyfriend Tanuj Virwani is likely to be interrogated by the Versova Police in connection with the circulation of the Shamitabh actress' private pictures on social media.
"Akshara was using an iphone 6 till 2013, which had the photos. Prima facie investigation has revealed the photos were shared with Tanuj in 2013. He may be summoned for questioning," a senior officer from Versova Police Station who is investigating the matter told Mumbai Mirror.
Akshara was in a relationship with Tanuj and had apparently shared her private photos with him in 2013. They parted ways in 2016. However, Tanuj has denied being in possession of her private photographs that were leaked online a few days ago. He has also denied having any communication with the Mumbai police.
"The incident is extremely unfortunate. But I never had any such photos," Tanuj told the daily while his spokesperson added that as Tanuj and Akshara are good friends. He will be happy to help the police to investigate the matter if asked to.
While Akshara Haasan is the youngest daughter of veteran actor Kamal Haasan, Tanuj is the son of veteran actress Rati Agnihotri. Kamal Haasan and Rati Agnihotri had made their Hindi film debut together in 1981 superhit film Ek Duuje Ke Liye and had done several films together in the Southern film industry.
Last week, social media was abuzz with Akshara Haasan's viral pictures which she had been privately clicked in her innerwear in a room. People had started circulating her pictures after some miscreant uploaded her private photos on social media platforms. It was being said that Akshara's phone was hacked and the miscreant had taken this opportunity to leak her private pictures online.
